Winter's Mourn by author Mary Stone is the first book in the Winter Black FBI Mystery Series. I am enjoying this series very much and am actually already at book 11, but that is a future review.
Winter Black has worked hard and enjoys her job with the FBI in VA. Winter was left to die with a traumatic brain injury as her little brother was taken away. Winter lived with her grandparents and promised them she will work to find the person who killed her parents. After Winter's brain surgery, she was left with an unexplained ability to see scenes that give insights to a current investigation. It is a very painful process and usually ends with her nose bleeding as she regains consciousness. Winter has guarded this condition as much as possible, but those closest to her have observed these occurrences and try to protect her. This series is very intriguing, and I have enjoyed each book very much!
