Carol Wyer The Sleepover A DI Natalie Ward Thriller

The Sleepover (Detective Natalie Ward #4) by Carol Wyer is amazing! This series always keeps my attention and interest from beginning until the ending. The characters and the events which happen are so believable as if taken from current news. In The Sleepover, a raging housefire sets a chain of unfortunate events into motion which will lead to the death of a teenager and two other murders. Roxanne's family and best friend Ellie are devastated when learning of her death in a strange housefire. Someone has answers but no one is telling the truth as DI Ward and DS Lucy Carmichael work with their team to uncover the motives and lies as they question family members and friends about Roxy's life. The two brothers, Gavin and Kirk Lang, owners of the house are acting belligerent and uncooperative toward the investigation into the cause of the fire,  DI Natalie Ward has problems at home as her teenaged children are making life choices, and her husband David continues to struggle with his gambling addiction. Secrets, lies, and drug abuse all tumble together as the truth slowly begins to come to light as this complex case is solved.   **I wish the F word had not been used as much.
