A Non-Stop Thriller in a Time of Desperation!
A Single Light (The Line Between Series) by author Tosca Lee had me hooked and fastened to that book for hours! Oh My Goodness it was non-stop action in a matter of a few days and then critical hours for Wynter and Chase as they try to find antibiotics for Julie. Once I started reading about the precarious situation Wynter finds herself within the silo and later on the road, I had to keep reading into the wee hours. Even though this is the second book for The Line Between, it can be read as a stand-alone book without any problem understanding what has happened. I will not post spoilers, but A Single Light is every bit as good as The Line Between. The plot is high energy and purposeful for the survival of Wynter and her loved ones during what seems to be the ending of the world as all have known it in the past. The virus which causes devastating dementia for all who contract the illness is a death sentence. The food and fuel supplies are short and being hoarded and bartered by criminals. There are many scenes in this novel which are heart-rending and some will have the reader on the edge of their seat!
Oh, poor sweet Otto and precious Noah! You have to read to find out how even in the midst of the deepest of despair there are those few souls who harbor light and shine kindness to others as encouragement and rekindle faith for another day.
