Molly Fader The McAvoy Sisters Book of Secrets Family Drama

The McAvoy Sisters Book of Secrets by author Molly Fader is a wonderful story about how facing and revealing family secrets can often help to heal broken hearts and relationships. The two McAvoy sisters have been estranged for seventeen years and now their mother, Meredeth, is in need of full-time health care.

Lindy receives a call from Cheif Garrett Singh advising her that Meredeth was found confused and walking along a narrow path which leads to an abandoned old mansion, the Fulbright house, armed with a flare gun. Lindy leaves her own unstable situation and heads for Port Lorraine and the family home and business on the shores of Lake Erie. Lindy is nervous about seeing her sister Delia after she had left home secretly in the night seventeen years ago.

Delia is experiencing some depression while trying to balance caring for a baby, a teenager, her home and the family bait and fish shop with her husband Dan. She knows she should have contacted her sister Lindy when her mother first experienced a 'brain-event' or stroke, but she has waited. Now the sudden news that Lindy is home and wanting answers about Meredeth's condition has brought to surface old hurts, resentments, and confusion.

Delia and Dan's oldest daughter, Brin feels neglected since baby Ephie has arrived being so needy. Brin feels a change in her mother since the birth and misses the closeness she used to share with her mom and dad. Why have they stopped talking to her? What can she do to make them see her?

A very good story with lots of heart, hurt, secrets, mystery, and forgiveness!
