The Little Book Café: Amy’s Story By Author Georgia Hill is the third in this series of books which center around Berecombe and an eclectic group of strong women who are friends. This delightful story is mostly about Amy and how she is trying very hard to make a success of the bookstore she manages. She is also trying to hide out a bit due to her disaster of a wedding day in which her groom did not show up to meet her at the church! Amy must find a way to try and please her mother who is constantly finding fault with her body image, clothing, and choice of career. She does have a bit of crush on Patrick, a writer who comes into the shop very often. Amy is comfortable in her conversations with Patrick and wonders about the mystery of his trips he must take for several days at a time.
Amy has a mystery. Someone wrecks her holiday decorations and stir up some mischief outside her shop in the evenings.
Amy starts a running regime with her friend Emma and is surprised to find herself enjoying the slime and fun of the Halloween race for a charity. As she is more aware of her activities, she begins to lose some weight, but not too much...because Patrick thinks she is beautiful just the way she looks!
