Diane Chamberlain The Dream Daughter An Amazing story of the power of believing the impossible!

The Dream Daughter by author Diane Chamberlain is AMAZING! It is a different type of time travel story which is filled with emotional events and scenes. Caroline Sears, Carly,  has a secret she did not share with her husband Joe before he left for Vietnam in 1969. She thought she might be expecting a baby, but did not want to tell him until she knew for sure. But a few months later Joe is with a group of engineers which are listed as being killed in November. Now she is consulting with a specialist because a new procedure has shown her baby has a heart defect. The prognosis is dire and in 1970 there is no fetal surgery to intervene for unborn babies.  Or maybe there is a solution to this tragic situation? Carly's brother-in-law, Hunter, has an idea of how Carly may be able to save the life of her baby girl, travel forward in time to 2001! Now how to convince her that he is not insane and had traveled from 2018 to 1965?
I thought about this story for hours after I finished reading the book. It broke my heart in some scenes. I was very young during the Vietnam War era, but I remember my folks watching the news at night and how sad my mom and aunts would be as the stories and toll of casualties would be in the evening news.
The Dream Daughter is about believing the impossible and having the hope to try and make a miracle happen. The story is about having the faith and trust in others to accept the possibilities to try to do the impossible.
It is a wonderful story about the love a mother has for her child. It is about loving someone enough to let them go and to separate yourself no matter how much it hurts! Very beautifully written!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this book.
