Killman Creek ( Stillhouse lake 2) by author Rachel Caine is the follow up to Stillhouse Lake. It is fast paced and once you start reading you will not want to stop until you finish. It does help if you have read the first book but it is not necessary.
Melvin has escaped from the prison and is causing chaos and terror again. The group Absalom is making life very difficult for many people, not only Gwen. Lanny and Connor are older now and their problems are on a different level. Gwen decides to leave the kids with Javier and Kezia while she and Sam team up to hunt for Melvin or the head of Absalom.
The results of their hunting is shocking! A person who they thought might be an ally is the very cause of their psychological nightmares. It becomes a race against time and evil as they try to bring about the capture or killing of Melvin for his atrocities toward the innocents he has tortured. Gwen faces the very hardest part of this devastating experience when videos are released to her children which show her as an accomplice to Melvins heinous cruelties. How can this be???
