Take Time for God’s Word, Remembering God’s Word for the Time of Your life, by David A. Pedersen

Take Time for God’s Word, Remembering God’s Word for the Time of Your life, by author David A. Pedersen is an easy to read formula for learning scriptures.

The ease of memory for favorite scriptures can be based on associating the chapter and verse number with a corresponding time of day, or with the dial of a clock. I love this concept and it makes perfect sense!

This pattern of associating ‘chapter: verse’ as linked to ‘Hour: minute’ will help in more than one way. You are not only learning a key scripture, but when you happen to look your watch, or a clock, you may find a comforting verse plays across your thoughts.  This should bring a smile for all who want to keep the word of God close to the heart.

In the book, there are illustrations such as the analog clock and linked verses. This is a very simple way to develop short memory practices and patterns. I enjoyed trying the Blessing chapter in the fifth chapter of Matthew.

If you want to challenge yourself to learning a new and easy way of hiding God’s word in your heart and mind, then you will enjoy this book and find it helpful.
