Jonas McAnn is looking for a change for himself and his family. He has the heart and calling to pastor a church. There is a church congregation, Granby Presbyterian, who needs a pastor. A match of pastor and church is brought about through a series of letters between Jonas and the Granby Presbyterian Committee in charge of finding the right pastor for their people.
After Pastor Jonas goes to Granby Presbyterian church to become pastor, he continues to write letters to this congregation, in addition to his pastoral duties. It is a journaling of emotion and sometimes very personal bonding to this congregation. As a former pastors wife, I could understand so much of the feelings and trust between Pastor Jonas and the people of the church. I loved reading this book of Letters!
