Kimberley Woodhouse The Patriot Bride Daughters of the Mayflower Series Faith Based Historical Fiction

The Patriot Bride (Daughters of the Mayflower) by author Kimberley Woodhouse is a wonderful Christian faith-based story of events leading into the Revolutionary War.  Even as a child Faith has enjoyed the strategy of battle and winning games against her fellow playmates which earns her the admiration of her young friend George Washington. Later young widow Faith Jackson fills the call for a messenger during the tense days leading up to the war in 1775. Because of her status in the town she has the ability to attend and conduct meetings with other ladies of the community who are determined to help the cause of the Patriots. Faith meets Matthew Webber as her contact for late night clandestine meetings to exchange messages for Patriot leaders.
Faith and Matthew have agreed to a dangerous mission for freedom. Faith's life becomes even more complicated when she draws the unwanted attention of a scheming man who is determined to control her life.
