Kerry Wilkinson The Death and Life of Eleanor Parker A Suspensful YA Thriller!

The Death and Life of Eleanor Parker by author Kerry Wilkinson is a very interesting and brilliant twist on a paranormal young adult thriller. Even though I am past middle age, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Eleanor Parker wakes up sputtering river water and can not remember what has happened to her. She is cold and her memory is foggy and she thinks she has awakened from a drowning. She manages to walk home and quietly goes up to her bed and tries to sleep. After hours of numbness Ell regains only bits and pieces of her memory and wonders what happened at the party she attended. Who would hold her down in the edge of the same river where Sarah her brother's girlfriend had died one year before? She does not tell her mother because she can not explain it to herself. Ell is worried because her senses of touch, smell, and feeling have all changed. She can not eat or sleep. Elle decides to try to figure out who at the party would have wanted to hurt her.
Within a week another friend, Helen, goes missing from a party in the woods.
Follow the twisting plot and actions of Ell's reawakening and how it will affect her loved ones around her!
I do think the cover design should have been more appealing.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this book.
